Emilee McCubbins is a Program Coordinator for the Kentucky YMCA Youth Association. She is originally from Louisville, KY and graduated from duPont Manual High School. Prior to this role, she lived and worked in Washington, DC, as a Program Manager in antimicrobial regulatory affairs. In addition to that position, Emilee has worked previously as a Special Education English/Language Arts teacher in District of Columbia Public Schools. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in English from The College of Wooster in Ohio and a Master of Science in Education from Johns Hopkins University in Maryland. In her role, Emilee plays a pivotal role in supporting statewide programs, empowers student officers, and engages volunteers and alumni alike to support the Kentucky YMCA Youth Association’s four core values. She is a proud alumni of the KYYMCA and her favorite programs are GFI and Y-Corps. In her free time, she loves reading creative nonfiction, traveling to new countries, and hanging out with her geriatric cats.
