Our student Presiding Officers lead each KUNA, but YMCA Staff, teachers, and volunteer advisors are always present to keep things running smoothly and safely.
Each delegation is required to bring at least 1 advisor per 15 students
KUNA is held at Marriott or Crowne Plaza Hotels in Louisville, Kentucky. Sleeping rooms may overflow to nearby hotels.
Students in Grades 6-8 attend Middle School KUNA. Your delegation may choose which conference to attend based upon which dates work best for you on a first come, first serve basis.
Students in Grades 9-12 will attend High School KUNA. Your delegation may choose which conference to attend based upon which dates work best for you on a first come, first serve basis.
*If your school has a Presiding Officer, you must intent and register for the conference in which they were elected.
Visit staging.kyymca.org/kuna/registration to review the list of currently claimed countries and then login to the Advisor Portal and complete an Intent Form. You will be able to see your reserved countries in the Online Community under Registrations.
- $275 for Student Y Members and $285 for non-Student Y Members. To become a Student Y member, students should be marked as Student YMCA Members on the Advisor Portal under Students & Adults; membership cost is $15.
In the event you need to cancel your registration, please visit staging.kyymca.org/refund for our policies and procedures. Cancellations more than two weeks out will be charged $70 for non-refundable costs incurred and less than two weeks out will be 50% of registration fees.
Visitors are welcome to KUNA conferences, but only during program times. Visitors must sign in with Y-Staff at the Y-Desk and be greeted by their school's advisor. Visitors are not allowed at KUNA during free time, meal times, fun time, or before/after curfew.
Please review our sick policy at kyymca.org/kuna/covid. Participants must be 72 hours symptom-free and if they become ill at conference, will be quarantined and a guardian must come and pick them up.
Feel free to contact your Director of Program Outreach if you have questions or would like to set up a meeting (Interest, Parliamentary Procedure, Resolution Writing, etc.) Additional documents are also available on our KUNA resources page.

For people who are unvaccinated or are more than six months out from their second mRNA dose (or more than 2 months after the J&J vaccine) and not yet boosted, CDC now recommends quarantine for 5 days followed by strict mask use for an additional 5 days.
If symptoms occur, individuals should immediately quarantine until a negative test confirms symptoms are not attributable to COVID-19.
