Amanda Pile Chism is the President for the Kentucky YMCA Youth Association. She grew up in Louisville, Kentucky and graduated from the University of Kentucky with a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science and Spanish.
A graduate of the Y’s programs, she was hired as a Fellow after volunteering with the Y-Corps program. Since that time she has served as a coordinator for the Kentucky Alliance of YMCAs, managed data systems for the Y5210 health education program, and served as Partnerships Director where she spearheaded multiple community relationships. While serving as the the Senior Program Director for the Association, Amanda led program design and execution and oversaw more than a dozen statewide conferences each year serving upwards of 8,000 young people. She has helped launch and design programs at the city, state, and national level, including Metro Youth Advocates and the Y’s National Youth Advocate Program.
Currently in her role as President she is focused on staff retention and professional development, creating a positive work environment, and putting systems in place to strengthen all KY YMCA programs and operations. She is thrilled to put her focus on supporting and uplifting her colleagues, in order for them as a team to be able to support youth in a strong way. Amanda loves serving the organization that gave her so much as a young person.
