Rianna Ayala, serving as the Director of Civic Engagement, works to ensure that the Kentucky Youth Assembly (KYA) and the Kentucky United Nations Assembly (KUNA) serve our students to the best of our ability and promotes civic engagement, advocacy, and connectedness. Rianna believes that young people hold the power, passion, and drive to positively impact our communities through community service, civic engagement, and relationship-building.
Though Rianna is from Fort Lauderdale, Florida, she believes Louisville, Kentucky is her home and has been involved in community advocacy in Louisville by advancing the status of young people and women through her educational development work at Planned Parenthood of Indiana and Kentucky and community collaboration initiatives with Louisville Metro Government’s Office for Women.
Rianna received her Masters of Science in Social Work from the Kent School of Social Work at the University of Louisville in 2019.
